Delhi: Knowing the ECI is leading in 43 out of 70 Assembly seats, the BJP is returning to Delhi even after 26 years of never stepping in. The Aam Aadmi party (AAP) as of 11:30 a.m is beating AAP in 27 seats.
When the BJP party exceeded the halfway milestone, they set off fireworks which led to further celebration in front of the BJP headquarters in Delhi. Supporters of the BJP cheered, played the dhol and wrapped themselved in famous saffron colored powder. Party workers rode in cars waving cutouts of the lotus symbol which fosters presidential belief that Bjp deserves to be the dominant party.
Sachdeva of Delhi BJP gave a statement when the first indicators screamed success saying that now it was up to the BJP to place the monkeys in power as the people already selected the king. He reiterated that it would be the central leaders of the party who choose the new chief minister.
Sachdeva prayed at the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place and then further added his hopes for the results of the elections are inline with what he expects but they are delayed in the final outcome.
As BJP’s candidate for Kalkaji, Ramesh Bidhuri, who was ahead of AAP's Atishi, remarked that, "With Shri Modi as the Prime Minister, Delhi will develop with the rest of the nation. AAP will be wiped out from Delhi."
