The Republic Day Parade 2025 on Kartavya Path (erstwhile Rajpath) was a comprehensive sprit of military might, tradition and progress, and innovation of new India. The event was viewed by millions of people that watched the 90 minutes of the event and left the nation inspired and proud to be a citizen.

It was quite symbolic that from the Gun Salute to Fighters jets soaring the sky, it was a Bunch of classicism and Innovation that echoed the Indian story of being a sovereign republic.

The Grand Opening Ceremony
This parade began with the hoisting of the tricolor by the chief guest [President Name Placeholder] followed by the 21 gun salute. President, in their capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces saluted as contingents marched in dressed in unison.

Digital India: Emphasised India’s growth in use and development of digital technology in governance of the country and in setting up of new generation startups.
Flypast: The Grand Finale
===== The Indian Air Force Flypast was the much anticipated event and aptly brought down the curtains on the parade.

Flypast Highlights:

Tejas Formation: Showcased India’s own indigenous fighter aircraft.
Rafale Jets: Conducted itself in a triangular formation as its aircraft proved reactive technologically.
Suryakiran Aerobatic Team: I left the audience stunned with some mind-buggering stunts flying all over the tricolor.
Women in Focus: Breaking Barriers
During the Republic Day 2025 celebration for instance there was an emphasis in having woman controlling the contingents in the parade as a way of showing equality in the country.

Key Moments:

For the first time, the whole contingent of the BSF Camel was led by women and they easily got a standing ovation.
Several contingents had ladies officers assuming commanding responsibilities thus underlining the fact that role of women in India’s defense forces is on the rise.
