
As part of preparations towards the celebration of Republic Day 2025, Noida Traffic Police has released traffic advisory to the general public. Since the latter follows the parade and moving towards Delhi the mentioned advisory contains restrictions and diversions to be allowed on 26.01.2025. The general public is encouraged to take precaution over their travel time in order to avert inconveniences.
Pertinent Restrictions in Noida for Republic Day 2025
1. No Entry for Heavy Vehicles:
Timing: Passage of major vehicles into Noida will be prohibited from [start time placeholder] and lasting to [end time placeholder].
Restricted Zones: There will be some restrictions only in access to Delhi such as in DND Flyway and Kalindi Kunj passing through Noida.
2. Public Transport Adjustments:
Some routes of public transport such as the buses may be rerouted to avoid bringing crowds near security precincts.
Trains will operate during the metro timings but parking infrastructures in some metro stations may remain shut.
3. No Stopping Near Key Locations:
Driving or standing will not be allowed near the Noida-Delhi borders and other blacked-out areas.
Diversions in Place
Commuters should note the following diversions:
1. Diversions Toward Delhi:
Traffic which otherwise use the DND Flyway to get to Delhi will have to shift to other roads like the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway or the Yamuna Expressway.
2. Local Noida Diversions:
Roads in or around Sector 15, Sector 18 and Noida Stadium will have been closed changes to manage the celebration and security reasons during Republic Day.
3. Border Closures:
Some gates to Delhi through Chilla Border and Kalindi Kunj may be shut down at some particular time of the day.
Traffic Police Recommendations for Commuters
To avoid inconvenience, the Noida Traffic Police recommends:
1. Use Public Transport:
He added that it is safer and convenient to travel by Metro services during the Republic Day event. Temporary avoid traffic congested areas by using close by metro stations.
2. Avoid Non-Essential Travel:
People are encouraged not to undertake unnecessary trips but specifically around Noida-Delhi border.
3. Plan Alternative Routes:
If you’re prohibited from accessing an area, then try to find the nearest way around it.
There is no restriction on travelling during the night, however, use Google map or else the official website of Noida Traffic Police for the update going on currently.
4. Follow Security Protocols:
Do not hind any police officer at a check point and do not carry any items that are banned.
Metro Advisory for Republic Day
Delhi Metro Services:
Metrol services will be available as per schedule but some of the stations in and around India Gate and Kartavya Path may remain closed for entry or exit during the time of the parade.
Vehicle access to parking areas that are close to the Noida Delhi metro stations may be shut from the night of January 25 up to the evening of January 26.
