Trump made these statements in his recent campaign, where he talked about reaching the red planet. At a rally in Pennsylvania in October, Trump also said, "We will land an American astronaut on Mars ... Get ready, Elon, get ready. We have to land it, we have to do it quickly. But not just any human being - an American human being."
Elon Musk's dream
Sending humans to Mars has been a dream of SpaceX and of Musk personally. He has posted on X that SpaceX could send humans to Mars in the next four years. But SpaceX is not the only one in this race. Jared Isaacman, the next administrator of NASA, a tech billionaire and pilot, wrote on X, “Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and by doing so, we will make life better on Earth.”
Musk is fast and NASA is slow
Elon Musk thinks his SpaceX program will be able to send humans to Mars as early as 2029 and establish a self-sustaining colony by 2050. NASA is a bit more conservative with its aspirations and doesn't expect to land humans on Mars until the 2040s.

According to another report, scientists have started looking into an ancient Roman construction technique. Efforts are being made to find out whether the use of bodily fluids (blood, sweat and urine) can create the building blocks of a human settlement on Mars.
