Donald Trump Inauguration: With President Trump’s confirmation for a second non-consecutive office term, he is all set to swear in on January 20, 2025 at noon east time, at the US Capitol. The event includes several high and esteemed dignitaries to attend the inauguration ceremony.


India will be represented by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar as confirmed earlier by the Minister of External Affairs. Jaishankar has been invited to join the event by the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee. He will also meet members of the new US leadership and foreign dignitaries on his trip.


Donald Trump Inauguration Day: Attendees Who Are Expected To Be On The List:


A number of global leaders alongside eminent people have been invited to the event like other world leaders and Raul Jimenez have confirmed their seating:


Joe Biden: The former President among the attendees, Joe Biden stated about being there in the event during an interview along Meidas Touch saying, “Of Course I Am.” When the question of not joining the event came up he responded to that saying Its just a ‘Childlike Game’.


Chinese Delegation: Xi Jinping, who once served as the president of China has gotten an invitation to the event but its unsure if he will show up or not.

China is expected to send a senior delegation to represent him. More than that, it’s an example of ‘President Trump engaging with the leadership of countries which are not only allies but adversaries and competitors’, says Fox News, quoting the president’s spokesperson.  

President of Argentina Javier Milei: He is strongly Trump’s ally. ‘Yes, he will be there’, the President’s spokesperson confirmed, CBS News and Bloomberg reported.  

Giorgia Meloni, Italy’s Prime Minister: The PM has reportedly accepted the invitation, CNN reported after the Trump-Melon meeting held the other week at Mar-a-Lago.  

Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador: He is one of Trump’s friends and was among the first to congratulate him when he won. Recently he received an invitation which was given to him by the People’s Party, according to CNN citing other sources.  

Viktor Orban, Hungary’s PM: According to CBS News, orn has been invited, however, as it is informed by their sources, he still is pondering over it.

Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya announced his plans to attend the ceremony and said he would do so in representation of government Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. ‘We are very much looking forward to strengthening our relations with the new administration,’ Iwaya said on NHK. According to Reuters, representatives of Japan and Australia have also confirmed that the appropriate ministers will attend the event.

According to reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has not confirmed but is expected to do so as he is an ally and ready supporter of Trump.

Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur, who withdrew from the presidential race to support Trump, might also attend. Ramaswamy has been contacted for a position within Trump’s administration.

The US Secret service has a lot on its plate as it tries to secure Trump, who survived 2 assassination attempts in the summer, along with protecting a number of global leaders.

According to CNN, contacts with Trump have described his method of invitation as rather informal, with most of them being extended during conversations or through informal channels. Because he wishes to present a “a global stage,” one of his advisors stated, “Trump is very keen in having world leaders attended his inauguration”.

As Trump once again takes over the oval office, the event seems to suggest a fiercely watched one.
