Tirupati Laddu Controversy: The controversy over the use of ghee made from fat in the prasad of Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam (Balaji Temple) located in Andhra Pradesh is increasing. The Chief Minister of the state Chandrababu Naidu held former YS Jaganmohan Reddy responsible for adulteration in the laddus. Now former CM Jaganmohan Reddy has again hit back at the Naidu government on this matter. Amidst the Laddu controversy, on Friday Jagan Reddy announced the cancellation of his visit to Tirupati Balaji temple, and also accused CM Chandrababu Naidu of using Hinduism for political gain.

Why did Jagan Reddy cancel his tour?

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has canceled his scheduled visit to Tirupati Lord Venkateswara temple. His visit, which has become a topic of discussion, was announced as part of a state-wide temple prayer ritual called by his party to atone for the alleged 'sin' committed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in making allegations regarding Tirupati laddus. Jagan Reddy himself has canceled his visit to the hill shrine. Jagan Reddy was scheduled to visit Tirumala today but the visit was cancelled two-three hours before his departure.

Big allegation made on Chandrababu Naidu.

During a press conference on Friday, former CM Reddy criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and accused him and his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of using 'Hinduism' for political gains. He claimed that the BJP was supporting Naidu instead of stopping him from indulging in 'dirty politics'. Showing the notices issued to his party members, Jagan said, 'This is the first time in history that anyone has been stopped from entering a temple.' He asserted that if any YSRCP member participated in Tirumala events, legal action would be taken against them as per the notices.

'Everyone in the country knows my religion'

Former CM Jagan Reddy further said, 'Rakshasa Raj continues in the state. The government is trying to obstruct my upcoming visit to Tirumala temple. The police have issued notices to YSRCP leaders across the state regarding the temple visit. The notice states that the visit to Tirumala temple is not allowed, and the necessary approval is not there for the program organized by YSRCP. As a result, the leaders are not allowed to participate in that program. Reddy said that every person in the country knows his religion and he has visited Tirumala temple many times even before becoming the Chief Minister.
