Delhi Mahila Samman Scheme News: The Women and Child Development Department of the Delhi government created a political storm by issuing a notice on Wednesday morning. It said that any political party collecting information from applicants in the name of 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' is committing fraud and has no right.

This public notification was issued a day after AAP ministers, MLAs and volunteers launched a massive outreach campaign to register people for the scheme. The department said it received information through media reports and social media posts that a political party claimed to give Rs 2100 per month to women of Delhi under the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana'.

'No such scheme notified'

The public notice said, "It is clarified that no such scheme has been notified by the Delhi government." It said that no such scheme exists and any person or political party is committing fraud by collecting forms or applications.

What did Arvind Kejriwal say?

Reacting to this controversy, AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that his political opponents are upset with his party's Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. He claimed that CM Atishi may soon be arrested on the pretext of a fake police case. Kejriwal also fears that raids may be conducted on many senior AAP leaders.

Arvind Kejriwal said on Twitter, 'These people are very upset with the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. They have made a plan to arrest Atishi ji in the next few days by making a fake case. Before that, raids will be conducted on senior AAP leaders.'

requested for registration

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party had appealed to get registered for Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. On this, the Women and Child Development Department (WCD) and Health Department issued a statement saying that there is no such scheme in Delhi state.

'No scheme by this name has been announced'

The department clarified that the Delhi government has not announced any scheme in this name and the claims of distributing funds in this name are false. Citizens of Delhi have been advised not to share their personal information with any person or political party claiming to represent this scheme, as this may lead to cyber crime or banking fraud. The WCD department will not be responsible for these fraudulent activities and the liabilities arising from them.

BJP took aim

Earlier on Tuesday, BJP MP from New Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj had accused the Aam Aadmi Party of making women of the state stand in queues in the cold weather in the name of Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.

She said, 'You all must be seeing that they are asking the sisters and daughters of Delhi to come and register for the Mahila Samman Yojana. Not only this, they are calling our elders in the cold to register by citing the Sanjeevani Yojana. I want to tell all of you that this is only an election hoax and deception, nothing else.'
