UP Police has arrested a 'looteri dulhan' and her entire gang who used to run away with jewelry and money from their in-laws' house after a fake marriage. The things that came to light after they were taken into custody shocked the police. It was revealed that this gang was very close to its seventh victim. The bride was about to get married for the seventh time.

A person had complained to the Banda Superintendent of Police about a gang involved in cheating in the name of marriage. After receiving the information, the police swung into action and started gathering information about this gang. Banda SP Ankur Aggarwal took this complaint seriously and formed three teams for investigation.
This is how they used to hunt
This entire gang used to plan and target people who were not getting married. Police investigation revealed that a 24-year-old girl used to pretend to be the bride. Another woman used to pretend to be her mother and two other men used to pretend to be her relatives. These people had duped 6 people by doing fake marriages.
Marriage was done according to custom
This gang used to conduct marriages with full rituals. Not only this, they used to get the marriage registered with a fake notary. After the marriage, the bride used to go to her in-laws' house and as soon as she got a chance, she used to run away with money and jewellery. Investigation revealed that the girl who was going to be the bride was from Jalaun in UP while the woman who was going to be her mother was from Kanpur.
The police is investigating the call details of these people and is trying to find out the people who were cheated by this gang. Banda police has said that evidence is being collected seriously in the whole case. Strict action will be taken against the accused.
