Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi has studied with Gen Upendra Dwivedi. Both have studied at Sainik School in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Air Marshal Amarpreet Singh and Upendra Dwivedi have trained together in the 65th batch of the National Defense Academy. Air Marshal Amarpreet and Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi both passed out in 1983. According to reports, both are good friends due to their relations with the Defense Academy. It is expected that these relations will help strengthen the relationship between the three armies.

Born on 27 October 1964, Air Marshal AP Singh was commissioned as a fighter pilot in December 1984. AP Singh studied in Janakpuri, Delhi, and is a graduate of the National Defense Academy. He has also studied at the Defense Service Staff College and National Defense College. He also has more than 5000 hours of flying experience. His colleagues describe him as an excellent pilot and leader. In his 40-year career, AP Singh has held many important responsibilities. He has commanded the MiG-27 squadron and the Frontline Air Base. And has been a part of the MiG-29 upgrade project management with Russia.
