The much-anticipated trailer of The Diplomat, starring Bollywood actor John Abraham and Sadia Khatiab, was released today, Friday. The release coincides with the birth anniversary of the late Sushma Swaraj, paying tribute to her significant efforts in 2017 to aid Indian diplomat JP Singh in bringing back India’s daughter.
A Political Thriller with a Unique Narrative
This film explores a gripping political thriller where intelligence and negotiation take center stage instead of war. John Abraham portrays real-life Indian diplomat JP Singh, who undertakes a high-stakes rescue mission. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film presents John Abraham in a role driven by strategy and diplomacy, unlike any of his previous on-screen characters.
John Abraham Shares His Thoughts on the Role
Expressing his excitement, John Abraham said, "Diplomacy is a battlefield where words hold more power than weapons. Portraying JP Singh allowed me to explore a world where intelligence, resilience, and quiet valor define true strength.
