Mamata Banerjee's statement of leading the 'India' alliance has created a stir in politics. NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar and Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders supported Mamata Banerjee's statement. Meanwhile, the reaction of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, has come to the fore.
Tejashwi Yadav said on Sunday that any senior leader including Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee can lead the 'India' alliance. He has no objection to this. However, the decision should be taken unanimously.
Tejashwi said – he has no objection.
Talking to the media, Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly, said that the India Alliance has not considered this matter and discussions are to be held with all the parties. He said that if Mamata Banerjee allies, he has no objection. But it should be kept in mind that there are many senior anti-BJP leaders in the alliance. In such a situation, there should be a discussion about choosing a leader and a decision should be taken collectively.
There will be a discussion on the leader and the future roadmap.
Tejashwi Yadav was asked if West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee leads the alliance and if the RJD, the main party in it, is ready to support it. To this, he said, we have not yet taken any collective decision on the issue of future leadership. But when there is a discussion on the leader and the future roadmap, any decision will be taken unanimously in this regard.
TMC told Mamta is the most suitable
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress on Sunday demanded that Mamata Banerjee be made the leader of the 'India' alliance. Party MP Kirti Azad said that she is the 'most suitable' for this post because she is the only leader who has repeatedly defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said, senior leaders including the senior-most Sharad Pawar ji have also said that Mamata Banerjee should be made the leader of the 'India' alliance.
Mamata should be made the leader of the alliance.
Trinamool MP Azad said, she has a lot of experience, she herself has said that she has formed the 'India' alliance. She has said that if she gets the opportunity, she is ready to lead the alliance. She has been an MP, a Union minister, and has been the Chief Minister of West Bengal since 2011. He said, now the time has come to make Mamata Banerjee the leader of the 'India' alliance. Due to her experience, she is best suited for this post.
