Amid the ongoing tension in Bangladesh, former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reacted strongly to the arrest of former ISKCON chief Chinmay Krishna Das. Hasina accused the interim government of Bangladesh and said that a senior Sanatan Dharma leader had been wrongly detained, and he should be released immediately. Hasina termed this case as a serious human rights violation.

Serious question on the Yunus government

Sheikh Hasina also launched a scathing attack on the government of Bangladesh Prime Minister Yunus. She said that this government, which unconstitutionally came to power, has not only failed to punish the killers but has also encouraged human rights violations. She alleged that the government has completely failed to protect the common people and if it does not take strict action against the criminals, it will also be punished. Sheikh Hasina appealed to the citizens of Bangladesh to stand united against terrorism and extremism, so that the safety of the common people can be ensured.
