Bangladesh News : Sheikh Hasina, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh who has been in exile since the fall of her government in August last year, recently addressed supporters of the Awami League party and the widows of policemen killed in violent demonstrations. Speaking virtually, she strongly condemned the escalating terrorist activities in Bangladesh and accused Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus of turning the country into a "terrorist state."

During her address, Hasina urged her followers to remain patient and united, vowing to return and seek justice for those who lost their lives. "I urge all of you to stay strong and stand together. I will return and ensure justice for our martyrs. Just as I have done before, I will hold the perpetrators accountable," she asserted.

Hasina Criticizes Yunus' Governance

Sheikh Hasina accused Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government, of being responsible for the prevailing violence and lawlessness. She emphasized that Yunus lacks the experience required to govern a nation and alleged that he had disbanded investigative committees, allowing terrorists to operate freely and endanger lives.

"Yunus has no experience in running a government. He has dismantled all inquiry panels, leaving terrorists unchecked. They are destroying Bangladesh. We will not allow this regime of terror to continue," she stated.

Hasina also recalled past assassination attempts on her life, asserting her belief that divine intervention had spared her for a purpose. "They have tried to kill me before, including on August 5, but I survived. Allah is with us," she said.

Concerns Over Law and Order

Highlighting the deteriorating security situation, Hasina expressed concern that violence had persisted for six months under the interim government. "Despite the passage of six months, the violence has not stopped. Now I hear that they are launching ‘Operation Devil Hunt.’ This government is incapable of leading the country. The economy is in crisis, law and order is collapsing, and public safety is at risk," she warned.

Meanwhile, at the World Government Summit in Dubai last week, Muhammad Yunus vowed to ensure that key figures from the ousted Sheikh Hasina administration would face justice. "If my government fails to bring them to justice, the people of Bangladesh will not forgive us," he declared.
