Rahul Gandhi FIR: The opposition created a ruckus in Parliament after Union Home Minister Amit Shah's comment on Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. During the opposition's protest, Pratap Sarang suffered a head injury in the scuffle with BJP MPs and he accused Rahul Gandhi of pushing him. After the MPs got injured, BJP filed an FIR against Congress leader Rahul, which has now been transferred to the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. The controversy started when BJP MPs accused Rahul Gandhi of injuring and pushing them while entering the Parliament. After this incident, BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were admitted to the hospital.

Accusations and counter-accusations between Congress and BJP

A case has been registered against Rahul Gandhi under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges of causing grievous hurt, threatening and using criminal force. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi rejected these allegations and claimed that he was prevented from entering Parliament and BJP MPs threatened him. He termed it a conspiracy to divert attention from the discussion on Adani Group. After the incident, Congress also lodged a police complaint against BJP MPs. Congress alleges that BJP MLAs misbehaved with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Calling it a strategy of BJP, Congress said that these incidents are an attempt to suppress the discussion on the issue of Adani Group.

Police engaged in investigation

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra targeted the BJP in this matter and said that this investigation and FIR against Rahul Gandhi shows the frustration of the BJP. Describing it as an attempt to suppress the voice of the opposition, she said that the country is watching all this. The BJP has made serious allegations against Rahul Gandhi and claimed that its MPs were physically attacked. The police have said that the footage of the incident will be examined and all necessary steps will be taken. According to doctors, the condition of the injured MPs is now better. Delhi Police has handed over the investigation to the Crime Branch considering the seriousness of the matter.
