During the recent elections, Mr. Zuckerberg claimed that the countries such as India lost the elections and mentioned that Inflation and the way the government dealt with Covid were factors for them losing the elections. But India, along with some other nations, held an election in 2024, and according to Mr Zuckerberg, all these nations ended up losing the election. Now Mr Zuckerberg's claims about India are true, however they are not universally.
Zuckerberg’s Statements Were Fact-Checked by Ashwini Vaishnaw
A day before this indian masses and BJP Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw pointed out Mr Zuckerberg's mistake. Making a major election, Mr. Narendra Modi led NDA secured a trust of more than 640 million voters. Mr. President Modi’s NDA joined the 2024 elections and Mr. Zuckerberg is wrong in saying that all incumbent governments lost the elections.
The minister stated, ‘It’s unfortunate to see misinformation from Mr. Zuckerberg himself. Let’s maintain the facts and integrity. Regarding keeping India as the leading country in growth during Covid alongside 800 million free food and 2.2 billion free vaccines, the PM modi reflects strong trust in the governance.’
