Supriya Sule has been a close family friend of Kareena Kapoor as well as her husband Saif Ali Khan which is the reason Sule called and informed Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor when she got the information about this incident. During the incident, she did speak to Karisma over the phone but refused to share specifics of their discussion with the media and asked them to wait for a formal statement from the family.

Sule during an interview with news agency PTI stated “Saif is safe and in hospital. Wait for the official statement from the family and the police.”

Supriya Sule further added how Karisma Kapoor informed her about Kareena returning home together with other details of Saif who was still at the hospital.Sule expressed her doubt about how the intruder gained access to Saif and Kareena’s home.

Politicians React To Incident

Priyanka Chaturvedi, a member of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), condemned the assault and spoke out against the growing threat to sanity and law enforcement in Bandra. “How shameful for Mumbai to witness yet another high profile assassination attempt, the attack on Saif Ali Khan once!’ she posted on the website X. Mumbai police and the home minister are now obliged to answer,’ said Priyanka Chaturvedi sarcastically.’

Chaturvedi said: “Let’s pray for a quick healing for Saif Ali Khan.” In addition, Chaturvedi pointed out, there also is politician Baba Siddique’s assassination in 1999 and Salman Khan’s nightmares of being ‘locked’ inside his bullet-proof mansion in Bandra.

“This tends to happen every single day in the slums of Mumbai,” Shiw Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut added, in response, amid amusement of slum shacks, to the incident. “In Mumbai, even artists such as Saif Ali Khan who are celebrities, are already robbers. Reputed houses rob their own," he said, " All of you by now have heard of it."

As per the report by PTI, the team of Kareena Kapoor has acknowledged the attempted robbery at the house of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor last night and has also acknowledged that. Further, they have also confirmed that Saif had to go through a surgery as he had an injury in his arm. In fact, other members of the family are well.

The statement also further added, “We request the media and fans to be patient and not make further speculations regarding the on going police investigations. We thank you for your concern.”
