Donald Trump Inauguration- The global business elite will be in attendance ready to celebrate as Donald Trump gets sworn in as the US President on January 20. The Indian business magnate Mukesh Ambani along with Tesla’s Elon Musk, Amazons Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg – the founder of Facebook and the Apple CEO Tim Cook are some of the names who are expected to show up the inauguration ceremony. They all are attending as business tycoons.

However, one key name is surprisingly missing from the list. One such person who is missing is Jensen Huang, the co-founder and the CEO of Nvidia, which is the most valuable chipmaking company in the world. Such events include the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, exactly what he shows up for. However, this time he would not attend since he has a different program that day. Instead, Huang stated that he was going to Taipei in order to honor the Lunar New Year with the employees and their families of Nvidia.

The same event will be hosted by him in Beijing next week. These events are held to strengthen ties between Nvidia’s employees and partners across Asia.

Why did Jensen Huang decide to miss the inauguration of Trump?

Jensen Huang, the co-founder of Nvidia Corporation and its current CEO, did not attend Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2016. As per Huang, ‘Democracy is not only about economics. To them voting was an unprecedented opportunity even if some aspects did not resonate with them. I only joke if I say that I am not thankful for the opportunity because I am trying to be modest and respectful of my environment.’ Huang chose not to attend the inauguration for personal reasons. Huang also mentioned that his absence was not a political decision and there was no animosity towards the former president. Huang further elaborated on his views by stating roughly as follows, ‘It grieves me that a country with a promising loggerhead will show such enthusiasm for tearing itself apart. But in the morning we will start dividing the united ideals of politics!’ He further dismissed this by saying it is due to U. S Australia relations. Huang being a Chinese immigrant dissociated himself from politics and stated that he does not have strong political ties, which largely explains his critic of both candidates Huang in his response mentioned that it does not matter who the candidate is since they will give the exact same speech.

The beginning of Huang’s statement has little resonance since he chose not to partake in the skepticism surrounding the strong political divide that America is has been experiencing and political tensions that are currently happening. He further elaborates on his view of the relation U. S and China relations by saying it is risky to megacorporation as there is no responsiveness of government to the economy while being exposed to political risks. Huang also commented on Xi’s policies by stating that Xi and U. S president are the same in nearly every regard. He further added that businesses are repelled by political powers like Xi Zinh and Trump since they promise tensions.

The formation of blocks will hasten together with regional groupings so that free-trade will soon become irrelevant for economic systems. The dependencies will be in place and this will require dependable delivery chaining. Huang perceives the economic changes in context of AI revolution that will drastically reruytinging many practices globally. He emphasizes that the dependencies freed from ideologies shall blossom and hence usher in a new human race. If Huang wants to differentiate his ideas from political thoughts he definitely should not affirm such radical notions.

The world’s biggest chipmaker, which reached a valuation of $3 trillion, claims that their interests have been compromised by the new US export controls. They argue that such restrictions on AI chip exports “threatens to undermine the progress made in the American AI industry,” and Triggers a threat for the Us to lose its position as a leader in AI innovation.

In a statement, President Donald Trump confirmed to attend the inauguration ceremony of US President-elect on 20th March 2025 with prominent leaders, tech gurus, business personalities and movie stars.

Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani to attend Trump inauguration

One of the invited bloc includes Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani for the Trump Inauguration ceremony. According to reports, the two families have a close personal friendship and hence, the US President-elect has simply invited the Ambanis.

Just like other prominent guests such as Trump’s Cabinet nominees and elected officials, the Ambani couple is expected to be seated at the first row of the platform, and they are scheduled to reach Washington two days in advance on the 18th of January.

The schedule indicates that there are a couple of back to back events that will start on November 3 and for Nita and Mukesh Ambani that will include attending a cabinet reception, a vice president dinner alongside a reception that marks the opening of the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia which will begin with fireworks on the 3rd of November.

The economic Times had reported that Nita and Mukesh Ambani attended a “candlelight dinner” alongside Donald Trump alongside the vice president JD Vance on the night before the inauguration. Nita and Mukesh were able to attend that exclusive event due to its high demand.

The Indian entrepreneurial duo is expected to be in attendance at the inauguration alongside other notable figures such as Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s head, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon along with a variety of international tech entrepreneurs and Tyson’s. It is expected that the Ambanis will also attend that event as well.

The couples are expected to arrive on November 3 for the black tie inauguration alongside Donald Trump at the newly inaugrated Trump National Golf Club in Virginia where democracy will be celebrated.

OpenAI head Sam Altman, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Uber’s Dara Khosrowshai are also likely to show up, alongside the former US president Joe Biden, vice president Kamala Harris and their spouses, as well as Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Other prominent figures expected are US Senators Mitt Romney, Bernie Sanders, and Mafia.

Japan Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya will also be attending the inaugural ceremony, along with other QUAD foreign ministers that include India’s EAM S Jaishankar among others.

As the polls from the November 2024 US presidential elections indicate, Donald Trump will take the oath for his second term on January 20, making him the 47th president of the US.
