Former UP Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has made a big announcement after suffering a crushing defeat in the by-elections held on 9 seats in the state. Talking to the media on Sunday, she said, our party has decided that now it will not contest any by-election in the country. With this big announcement, Mayawati accused the Election Commission of India of rigging.

The BSP chief said, that until the country's Election Commission takes some strict steps to stop fake voting in the country, our party will not contest any by-election in the country. Mayawati further said that in general elections, some protection is definitely done in this matter. Because the government machinery is afraid of the change of power.

Fake votes are being cast openly in elections.

Before making a big announcement about the by-elections, Mayawati said, there is a general discussion among people about the votes cast and the results that came this time, that earlier when elections were held in the country through ballot papers, fake votes were cast by misusing power and now this work is being done through EVMs as well. Mayawati claimed that now these activities are happening more openly during by-elections, especially instead of general elections.

He said, we saw this in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Similar concerns have been raised about the elections in Maharashtra. This is a big warning for democracy in our country.

BSP will not contest any by-election

Mayawati said, that given this situation, our party has decided that until the Election Commission of India takes strict measures to stop fake voting, we will not participate in any by-election across the country, especially in Uttar Pradesh. I am specifically referring to the by-elections here.

NDA hoisted its flag in the UP by-election

Let us tell you that in the by-elections held on nine seats in UP, BSP candidates came third in seven constituencies. On two seats, they came fifth, behind the candidates of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and AIMIM. The people of UP have once again shown that they like the work of Yogi Adityanath. In the by-elections held on nine seats in the state, NDA won seven. Out of these, the Bharatiya Janata Party won six, and the NDA alliance (RLD) won one seat.
