Bahraich Wolf Attack: The terror of wolves continues in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Last night, another child died in their attack, while three other children were injured. Within the last one and a half months, 6 children have become victims of wolf attacks. The Forest Department gave this information on Tuesday. Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has said about this that such accidents reflect the failures of the BJP government.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Ajit Pratap Singh said on Tuesday that on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, wolves attacked and injured three children in a village. He said that by the time the team reached there for protection, the wolf had reached another village and made another five-year-old child its prey.

Singh said that by the time the team reached there, the attacking animals had reached the nearby village of Dewanpurwa village of Raipur Gram Panchayat and picked up Ayansh (five) who was sleeping with his parents. He said that when the search began, Ayansh's body, which was about 40 to 50 percent eaten, was recovered from a nearby field on Tuesday morning.
6 children died in one and a half month
The DFO said, 'The body has been taken into custody and post-mortem is being done.' He said that in the last one and a half months, six children have died due to these attacks. The officer said that as experts on the terror of wolves, Barabanki DFO Akashdeep Badhawan and Katarniaghat Wildlife Division DFO B. Shivshankar have taken charge of the operation. The District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, and senior officials of the Forest Department are constantly visiting the area, and with the help of public representatives, efforts are on to catch the pack of wolves.
Surveillance is being done with the help of drone cameras
Singh said that the wolf pack is being monitored with the help of high-frequency drone cameras and three wolves have been caught so far. He said that there is no definite opinion on the number of attacking wolves. He said that the administration and forest department are reporting the presence of three more wolves while the villagers are claiming that there are a dozen wolves.
Akhilesh Yadav surrounded the government
Meanwhile, SP chief and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Twitter on Monday, 'Whether it is Bahraich, Pilibhit, Shravasti, Lakhimpur Kheri or any other place in the Terai region of UP, news of wild animals turning into man-eaters is coming from everywhere, due to which sad news of casualties of the people of the state is coming.'
Yadav said, 'Such accidents show the failure of the BJP government in two ways. On one hand, due to the illegal felling of forests in the BJP rule, the habitat of animals i.e. 'forests' is decreasing, due to which there is a shortage of food in their life cycle. On the other hand, it is also an indication of the negligence of the forest department.'
