In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, a maid working in the house of a 65-year-old astrologer blackmailed him and extorted crores of rupees from him. The investigating police exposed the matter within 24 hours and caught the accused. The case is from the religious city of Ujjain. Here, the maid of the house was blackmailing the 65-year-old astrologer for the last two years along with her mother, sister, husband and lover. She extorted about four crore rupees from the astrologer. The accused was blackmailing the elderly astrologer through obscene videos. The victim's daughter-in-law and daughter, seeing their father upset, complained about it to the police. Then the case was exposed.

Threat of being implicated in a false case

SP Pradeep Sharma disclosed this in a press conference. He said, the accused maid was blackmailing the elderly astrologer on the basis of his obscene video and by threatening to implicate him in a false case. The team investigating the case disclosed this within 24 hours.

45 lakh cash, 50 lakh worth of jewellery recovered

He said, “The maid's income was Rs 7,000 per month, but when the house was raided, branded clothes, furniture, property documents and other items were recovered. About Rs 45 lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh were recovered from the accused's house. After this, the police's suspicion deepened. The accused have been arrested. A thorough investigation is being conducted to find out how much money has been extorted. According to the family, Rs 2 to 3 crore have been defrauded. The police team has been given a reward of Rs 20,000.”

The maid demanded another 10 lakh rupees

SP said that just two days ago, the maid had demanded another 10 lakh rupees from the old man. When the old man's health deteriorated, he informed his children and the complaint reached the police. Seeing their father upset, the victim's daughter-in-law and son lodged a complaint at Neelganga police station.
