MVA Guarantee Card: Mahavikas Aghadi Alliance (MVA) released its manifesto of guarantees on Wednesday for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Voting for the assembly elections is to be held in Maharashtra on November 20, before that the MVA alliance has promised to give five guarantees to the people of the state. The guarantee card includes benefits like financial assistance to women and unemployed of the state, loan waivers for farmers, and health insurance for the family. On Wednesday, leaders of political parties Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharad Pawar) included in the Mahavikas Aghadi organized Maharashtra Swabhiman Sabha in Mumbai. Rahul Gandhi was also present during this time.

Women get Rs 3000 in help.

According to a PTI report, the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra on Wednesday promised to give Rs 3,000 per month to women of the state and free travel in state transport buses. The MVA comprises Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh), NCP (SP) and Congress. Under the Krishi Samridhi Yojana, farmers' loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be waived and Rs 50,000 will be given as an incentive for regular payment of crop loans. The MVA made this announcement ahead of the state assembly elections to be held on November 20.

Financial assistance for the unemployed as well

An allowance of Rs 4,000 per month for unemployed youth, health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh, and free medicines, among other guarantees, was announced at a meeting addressed by top MVA leaders at the BKC grounds here. The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP government in Maharashtra is currently paying Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women under its flagship 'Ladki Behan' scheme and has promised to increase the amount to Rs 2,100 if it remains in power.

The promise of caste-based census

The MVA also promised that if their party comes to power, a caste-based census will be conducted in the state and the 50 percent cap on reservation will be removed if they come to power at the Centre. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on the occasion that the current politics of the country is a battle between the ideologies of the RSS/BJP and the opposition alliance 'India'. NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said that Maharashtra has never seen such a decline in all spheres of life before. Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray said that the MVA will ensure that the prices of five essential commodities - edible oil, sugar, rice, wheat, pulses - remain stable.
