Maharashtra’s Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance experienced a shock after Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut announced that the Mumbai, Thane, and Nagpur Municipal Corporations local body elections will be contested by Uddhav sena singlehandily. This decision comes after the performance of Maha Vikas Aghadi in the Maharashtra Assembly polls of November 2024 that led to further increases in the rift within the alliance. Such a statement sharing dissatisfaction with the alliance is particularly pertinent due to their recent split in the previously signed alliance.
“IN this fracture of parliamentry democracy growth of individual political organisations is difficult”, political leader said. He further commented that such alliances were established for the Lok Sabha and Maharashtra Assembly elections in, as reported by the news agency PTI.
Raut said that the signals that the party should contest the upcoming polls in a solo manner have been sent by party leader Uddhav Thackeray.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Raut and Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar were also seen arguing over the blame game of the alliance loss in the Maharashtra polls. Raut observed that those who do not have faith in consensus and compromise should not be allowed in the alliance.
He said that the INDIA bloc was unsuccessful in designating a convenor for the sum of the blocs in the state and that after the Lok Sabha elections there was not a single meeting about it, the report notes.
“We were not able to appoint even a convenor for INDIA bloc. This is not good. As the topmost party of the coalition, the Congress party was supposed to call for a meeting,” Raut said.
Following the pronouncement of the final verdict, Prakash Ambedkar, the chief of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, alleged on Saturday that Uddhav Thackeray's decision to withdraw from MVA was made with the concern of his son Aaditya Thackeray in mind.
“Modi is god yeah, I don’t consider this person human, God is god, so how can a God who is supposed to be a god who is supposed to be god an incarnation be of any human standing. He is vishnu’s 13th avatar. He said that a person who is supposed to be god then comes out to say I am a human is a bit dusted”
