It was reported that Saif Ali Khan, 54, was assaulted in his house during what seemed to be a reasonable hour around 3am on Thursday. The assailant stabbed the actor during what appeared to be a robbery attempt that went too far.

It is confirmed that the actor will recover after being treated at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Also, the Mumbai police have initiated the investigation into the matter and formed 6 teams who are on the hunt for his assailant.

Kareena Kapoor Statement

Amid these uncomfortable times at the Pataudi’s, Kareena Kapoor Khan who is the wife of Saif Ali Khan has released a statement appealing to the media and paparazzi to avoid disturbing the Pataudi family while they try to cope with loss.

Kareena emphasized in an Instagram story, “For our family, today has been among the hardest of days so far. In our efforts to come to terms with the developments, I now request the media and the paparazzi to please stop such speculation. We appreciate your input and support, but the attention has become too much and poses a danger to our well being."

She added further, "I kindly ask you to consider that we are a family, and, due to the circumstances, we need some time to grieve and heal.” Thank you in advance for your understanding and support during these troubled times.”

Saif Ali Khan is feeling better now  

Following the event, the actor was taken to the Lilavati hospital where he was immediately treated and is now recovering well. While he is still recuperating, his fans and other well-wishers have continued to pour out their prayers and encouragement.

In the reports of the police, someone says that the intruder started an argument with the maid but then attacked Saif and initially goes to the police to investigate. According to the first projection, it was not the case that the intruder forcibly entered the flat, there is a strong chance that they had entered stealthily at night.
