On Wednesday, January 1, on the morning of New Year, five members of the same family were murdered in a hotel in Lucknow. A man killed his mother and 4 sisters. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Central Lucknow) Raveena Tyagi has said that the incident took place at Hotel Sharanjit located in Naka area. The accused was identified as Arshad (24) who allegedly killed five members of his own family. After this incident, the local police took immediate action and caught the accused from the spot itself.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Aaliya (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), Rehmeen (18), all sisters of Arshad, and Asma (mother of the accused youth). According to the police, 4-year-old Arshad is a resident of Agra and initial investigation revealed that he committed the crime due to a domestic dispute. Forensic teams have been sent to the spot to collect evidence and a detailed investigation into the case has been initiated.

According to the police, Arshad killed his mother and sisters with a sharp blade. When the police questioned him, Arshad repeatedly started changing his statements. However, with a little bit of strictness, Arshad broke down and confessed his crime. It has also come to light that the family had come to Lucknow for a visit on 30 December.
