A terrible fire broke out in the NICU of a medical college in Jhansi, UP on Friday night. 10 newborn babies were burnt alive in this fire, and many of these babies were born prematurely. Helpless parents jumped into the fire to save their children but it was of no use. A four-member committee has been formed to investigate this matter, which will have to submit the report within seven days.
A four-member team will investigate the matter
Principal Secretary Medical and Health Family Welfare Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has constituted a panel of four people to investigate the matter. This investigation committee will be headed by the Director General of the Medical Education and Training Department. Apart from this, the Director of Medical Health Services, an Additional Director of Medical Health Services, and an officer nominated by the Director General of fire Services will be members of the committee.
The report will be submitted to the government within 7 days
The committee will identify the primary cause of the fire, any negligence or fault, and make recommendations to prevent such incidents in the future. Also, after the formation of the committee, it has been directed to submit the report of the investigation within seven days.

Let us tell you that Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College is one of the biggest government hospitals in the Bundelkhand region of UP. A fire broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of this hospital on Friday night due to an electrical short circuit. 10 children died in the fire.
Announcement to provide financial assistance to the relatives of the deceased
The government has announced a compensation of five lakh rupees each to the families of the newborns who died in this fire. The families of the injured will get a compensation of fifty thousand rupees each. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to release the compensation amount as soon as possible.
