Donald Trump, the president elect, has planned to postpone TikTok’s prohibition which is about to commence within the US on the basis of safeguarding the country’s security. In a statement on Social Truth, Trump expressed, “I will make an Executive Order to extend the prohibitions set in the law so that the deal to secure our country can be facilitated and signed for.”

This comes after a law, instituted in April and endorsed by President Joe Biden, cutting ties with the US operations of ByteDance has a deadline of Sunday. Many US users of TikTok have experienced the app being disabled claiming, “Regrettably, it means you are unable to access TikTok for the present time.”

Trump’s decaying plan to save TikTok

The proposal to ban the app has been delayed as part of the broader strategy to save the app from being banned entirely. In his words, “by doing this we prevent the app from being banned and we set a vesting in a joint venture with the current or new owners of the app. Without the permission from the US the operation of the app is rendered useless”.

Without us, this proposal would be worthless — ‘It goes for hundreds of billions or perhaps even trillions.’

This suggests that TikTok may be able to operate within the United States as it has been given permission to gain partial control through investment given its Chinese origins.

Right now, though, TikTok is available only as a beta!

This move is set to impact quite a few users of the application will face challenges while using other Byte Dances owned apps such as logo and capcut. People who owned these applications will still be able to use them, although retroactive payments, new downloads as well as updates are no longer available – Google and Apple shed light on these concerns.

According to Shou Chew, position has been given a shareholder value of an immense value - as he explains he had particular conversations with Donald Trump where he thanked Mr Trump allegedly for “being able to reach out to us.” or at least that Mr Trump chewed out them.

TikTok’s vice-president water said on Musk’s post that whenever he sees such an evolution in the history, it frustrates him because no one cares about freedom of speech. In a post made via online platform X, Elon Musk also expressed his opposing stance concerning the ban, writing “I have long opposed banning TikTok as it is an infringement on free speech. However, it is simply not fair that TikTok users can use the app in America while X users cannot use it in China.”
