GRAP 4 Implemented in Delhi: The fourth stage of GRAP has been implemented in Delhi-NCR. Given the increasing air pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) sub-committee on Sunday (November 17) said that it will implement Stage-IV GRAP in the entire NCR region from 8 am on November 18, 2024.
During the fourth phase of GRAP, entry of trucks into Delhi will be banned except those carrying essential goods. LNG, CNG, electric, and BS-VI diesel trucks will be allowed. On Sunday, the AQI in the capital was recorded at 441, making it the second most polluted city in the country.
These things will be banned.
1. Entry of truck traffic into Delhi will remain prohibited (except trucks carrying essential goods/providing essential services). However, all LNG/CNG/Electric/BS-VI diesel trucks will be allowed to enter Delhi
2. LCVs registered outside Delhi except EV/CNG/BS-VI Diesel will not be allowed to enter Delhi, except vehicles carrying essential goods/providing essential services.
3. There will be a strict ban on the movement of BS-IV and below diesel-powered medium goods vehicles and heavy goods vehicles registered in Delhi; only vehicles carrying essential goods will be allowed.
4. Prohibition on vandalism same as in GRAP phase 3
5. NCR state governments and GNCTD schools can also opt for online mode for classes 6th to 9th and 11th.
6. NCR State Governments and GNCTD will decide on allowing public, municipal,, and private offices to function at 50% capacity and the rest to work from home.
7. The Central Government may make an appropriate decision regarding allowing employees in Central Government offices to work from home.
8. State governments may consider additional emergency measures such as the closure of colleges and institutes and implementing odd-even.
