
EC Replies to AAP : We are a Three-member Body Not an Institution Controlled by an Individual
The Election Commission refuted AAP’s claims that the CEC Rajiv Kumar runs it single-handedly, stating that it was a three-member organization that worked as a team.
The Election Commission rubbished out AAP’s claim that only Rajiv Kumar is running it, the CEC, underscored that it is a three-member organization to function in a collective way.

In response to the allegations leveled by the AAP on CEC Rajiv Kumar, the poll panel, however, clarified stating that it is a three members’ body and all of them have noted that there have been repeated deliberate pressure tactics to harm Delhi poll authority.
It mentioned that such an impression is being created that the EC is a single member body.
The EC in the same post on X expressed appreciation of the fact that it has exercised constitutional boot since it will continue to absorb such outbursts and remain indifferent and unmoved by such innuendos.
This the AAP has said that it working under the convenorship of Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that the EC has turned a blind eye to the BJP’s violations of the poll code. Kejriwal had claimed that Kumar was not acting against the BJP in order to get a post retirement job.
He resigns in February 18 in that he has attained the age of 65 years. The other commissioners consist of Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.
It could be recalled that the 3-member Commission had jointly observed various attempts at orchestrating hatred campaigns against ECI during Delhi Elections, as if there is only one commissioned member and in order to discharge its institutional mandate effectively, the commission resolved not to be provoked by such unsavory remarks but to endure them with great patience.
Delhi assembly elections are on Wednesday, AAP is in the battle for the third time to continue its rule in the state and on the other hand BJP has a chance to capture the state.
