According to the police, a 16-year-old boy who hired the shooter over a monetary dispute has been detained. The incident took place in Shahdara's Farsh Bazar area at around 8 pm and was captured on CCTV. In the video, 44-year-old Akash Sharma, his nephew Rishabh Sharma (16), and son Krish Sharma (10) are seen lighting firecrackers in a narrow lane outside their house. Then the accused teenager and the shooter sitting with him on a scooter stop in front of the house. The accused boy hit Akash Sharma's feet while the shooter stood there. A few seconds later, the shooter fired about five bullets at Akash Sharma, killing him and injuring his son. When his nephew ran after the shooters, he was also shot.

The dispute started over money.

The police officer said that the accused Kishore had lent money to Akash Sharma and he was not returning it. The accused had planned the murder 17 days ago. The officer further said, 'A police team was sent after receiving a PCR call at around 8.30 pm. The team found blood stains on the spot. Eyewitnesses told the police that the accused had touched Akash Sharma's feet before shooting him. All the victims were rushed to the hospital.' He said that Akash Sharma's son Krish and nephew Rishabh, who were standing nearby, were also shot. Akash Sharma and Rishabh Sharma were declared dead by doctors in the hospital while Krish Sharma was undergoing treatment. Statements of the family members of the victims will be recorded and an investigation is going on in this regard.
