The new report claims that in the next 6 years, these one lakh flying cars will be seen flying in the skies of China. These flying cars are also known as Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Vehicles.
China's major cities are already laying the groundwork for this change. According to a report by the China Low Altitude Economic Alliance, the air traffic network and ground facilities for flying vehicles will be largely complete in the next two to three years. After this, large-scale manufacturing of flying cars will begiinom 2026.
The cost of flying cars will decrease in the future
Current eVTOLs cost about £1 million, but prices are expected to drop significantly by 2030. A family-friendly, four- or five-seater flying car could cost up to £200,000 (Rs 2.14 crore). Artificial intelligence and unmanned technology will form the basis of this transformation.
Drone technology is also developing rapidly. Companies such as Beijing-based i-Kingtec have developed fully autonomous drone garages capable of operating over vast areas. These are already being used for tasks such as power grid inspections and environmental monitoring.
