  • Coughing up blood is a serious symptom of lung cancer.
  • Chest pain may be sharp or dull and may increase with breathing.
  • Shortness of breath may be gradual or come on suddenly.
  • Apart from this, fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, change in voice, and difficulty in swallowing.

Ways to Reduce the Risk of Lung Cancer

  • Smoking is the biggest risk factor for lung cancer. If you smoke, quitting will help reduce your risk significantly.
  • Exposure to second-hand smoke can also increase your risk of lung cancer.
  • Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables , and whole grains.
  • Exercise is good for your overall health and can also help reduce your risk of lung cancer.
  • Get regular check-ups from your doctor.
