Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana: The way has been cleared for the women of Delhi to get Rs 1000 every month. The Delhi government has fulfilled Kejriwal's promise before the elections. The 'Mahila Samman Yojana' was approved by the Delhi Cabinet on Thursday. Under the Mahila Samman Yojana, women will be given a financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month. On this occasion, Arvind Kejriwal promised the public to increase this amount to Rs 2,100 after the elections. However, he made it clear that the elections are likely to be announced soon, due to which the amount can be deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries only after the voting.
'If you win the election, you will get 2100 rupees'
This announcement has been made at a time when preparations are being made for the assembly elections to be held in Delhi in February 2025 and the AAP is trying to win this election for the third time in a row. Kejriwal said that the Delhi Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Atishi has approved this scheme and women can start their registration from Friday. He has also announced to increase the amount under this scheme to Rs 2,100 per month if the Aam Aadmi Party wins the election. He said that if his government is formed after the election, then women will be given Rs 2100 every month.
'BJP had said free rewadi'
Initially, this scheme was announced in the budget of 2024-25 with an allocation of Rs 2,000 crore. He said, 'This scheme is to empower women and meet their financial needs.' Kejriwal said, 'BJP calls it free Revdi, but I consider it a step towards strengthening our society. BJP asks where the money will come from, but I said that we will give free electricity and we did it.'
He said, 'I want to tell the BJP that I am a magician; I am a magician of calculations.' He urged women to actively support him. He said, 'If all women come together, we will win more than 60 seats.'
What are the terms and conditions of the scheme?
This scheme was announced by former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in November last year. However, there are several conditions to avail the scheme. The first condition is that the woman should be a registered voter of Delhi. Apart from this, the woman's annual income should be Rs 2.50 lakh or less.
Age should be less than 60 years
The age of the women should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years. The government is already providing pension benefits to women aged 60 years and above in Delhi. Also, if the woman has a four-wheeler in her name, she will not be eligible for the scheme. The scheme will benefit only those women who are not a part of any pension scheme of the government.
