Delhi Election 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party has released the first list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Former MP Pravesh Verma will contest against AAP's Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi assembly seat, Dushyant Gautam from Karol Bagh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden, Kailash Gehlot from Bijwasan, Arvinder Singh Lovely from Gandhi Nagar.

BJP has also fielded its former MPs for the assembly elections. Ramesh Bidhuri will contest from Kalkaji against Chief Minister Atishi. Former Delhi government minister Kailash Gehlot, who left the Aam Aadmi Party, has been made the BJP candidate from Bijwasan seat.
The BJP has fielded Rajkumar Bhatia from Adarsh Nagar seat, Deepak Chaudhary from Badli, Kulwant Rana from Rithala, Manoj Shaukeen from Nangloi Jat, Rajkumar Chauhan from Mangolpuri seat, Vijendra Gupta from Rohini, Rekha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Goyal from Model Town, Dushyant Kumar Gautam from Karol Bagh, Rajkumar Anand from Patel Nagar, Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden, Ashish Sood from Janakpuri, Kailash Gehlot from Bijwasan seat.
Apart from these, the BJP has nominated Narayan Dutt Sharma from Badarpur, Ravindra Singh Negi from Patparganj, Om Prakash Verma from Vishwas Nagar, Anil Goyal from Krishna Nagar, Arvinder Singh Lovely from Gandhinagar, Kumari Rinku from Seemapuri, Jitendra Mahajan from Rohtas Nagar and Ajay Mahawar from Ghonda.
Sardar Tarvinder Singh from Jangpura, Satish Upadhyay from Malviya Nagar, Anil Sharma from RK Puram seat, Gajendra Yadav from Mehrauli, Kartar Singh Tanwar from Chhattarpur, Khushi Ram Chunar from Ambedkar Nagar will be the candidates.

After the announcement of the candidates, BJP candidate from New Delhi, Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma said that this is the time for change…if our government is formed, it will not be politics of allegations and counter-allegations but politics of development. He said that I have worked in the organization for a long time, I have experience…I started the Ladli Behan scheme. My goal is to get the ownership rights of the plots.
Taking aim at Kejriwal, Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma said, “Kejriwal first promised that he will not buy a bungalow, he will not buy a car, then he got the bungalow renovated for Rs 100 crore. Today the people of Delhi are facing water problem. People were asking for medicines during Covid but he was giving one bottle free with one bottle. We will implement all the schemes of the Government of India in Delhi.”
