CM Shinde's bag was checked for the second time

There is also news that Election Commission officials have once again checked the bag of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. This is the second time his bag was searched. Earlier, Eknath Shinde's bag was checked in Palghar.

Why is checking the bags of politicians a trend?
