
Bengaluru: Bengaluru is looking forward to Aero India 2025 which is going to be held from 10th to 14th February at the Yelahanka Air Base. One of the important highlights of the event will be a spectacular aerial show by Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of Indian Air Force which is sure to amaze audiences with their precise flying and complex formations.
Equipped with the newest colour smoke pods, the team’s aircraft is a proud Indigenous modification that allows the pilots to showcase the spirit of the nation while flying. Surya Kiran Team, established in 1996, performs with red and white Hawk MK-132 jets and they can do a loop, barrel roll, and even fly upside down while defying gravity! The pilots exceptional skills along with coordination allows them to perform gravity-defying aerial stunts.
SKAT was the first aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force established in 1997 and has now become one of only nine elite aerobatic teams in Asia. Their accomplishments include performing over 700 air shows in India and other international events in China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and the UAE. While flying in formations, they rarely keep more than 5 meters between aircraft which shows how much discipline and training has put into achieving these feats.
India possesses a premier aerobatic team that has received global recognition for their precise aerial formations along with breathtaking stunts. The team operates globally celebrated Hawk MK -132 aircraft that are fabricated and milled in India. Their performances are ensured to be seamless with the help of a whopping rotation of fourteen pilots.
Fiaenoment slated for Aero India 2025, the pilots attending the show will run out of the rate of breathtaking stunts along with the sheer devotion displayed by the Indian Air Force pilots. This show will not only serve to showcase India's aviation prowess but also serve as a demonstration of India's indigenisation efforts along with exhibiting their military aviation marvels.
Traffic Restrictions:
In light of the event, parking restrictions have been put in place on some major roads to allow better movement of vehicles. There prohibitions on parking from the following locations, which include but are not limited to: Mekhri Circle all the way to Devanahalli using the Bengaluru-Ballari Road, Bagalur Main Road during the commute from Bagalur Cross Junction to Sathanur, Thanandra Road from Nagawara Junction to Reva College Junction, and FTI Junction to Hennur Cross, and a plethora more. All drivers are encouraged to consider other routes that will lessen traffic on the main roads.
