Delhi Assembly Election: Aam Aadmi Party has started preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Delhi next year. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will survey to know the response of the public in all 70 assembly constituencies before announcing tickets for the Delhi Assembly elections. News agency PTI gave this information quoting the party's state convenor Gopal Rai. He said that AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced the survey at the district conference of party workers on Monday. He said that everything would be done as per the instructions of the former Chief Minister.

Opinion will be taken from the public.

Rai said in a press conference, 'The opinion of the people will be taken about the current MLAs and ticket seekers.' He said that AAP has been making major decisions based on the response of the public and the same will be done in the case of ticket distribution this time too. At the conference of Mandal Prabhari in Kiradi assembly constituency, Kejriwal said that ticket distribution will be done on the basis of surveys conducted by the party as well as the work done by the ticket seekers.

AAP got 62 seats in the last election

AAP had won 62 assembly seats in the last elections held in 2020. This time the party is aiming to improve its numbers by winning more than 62 seats. Kejriwal said that this time tickets will be distributed after serious deliberations. Delhi Assembly elections are to be held in February 2025. Apart from the ruling AAP, BJP and Congress will also be in the fray.

BJP is desperate to return to power

BJP, which won only eight seats last time, is gearing up to win the elections this time and form the government in Delhi after a gap of 25 years. The Bharatiya Janata Party had earlier won the Delhi Assembly elections in 1993. Before the elections, Kejriwal and other senior leaders of AAP are holding meetings at the district level to prepare the party workers for the campaign.

Kejriwal said that no matter who contests on the AAP ticket, party workers should think that the former chief minister is contesting on all 70 seats and their loyalty should be only towards him. He has asked the Mandal in-charges, who cover five polling stations each, to take his message to every household.
