Punjab Serial Killer: Such a horrifying story of a serial killer from Punjab has come to light. Everyone is shocked to know about it. Police officials said on Tuesday that the police in Rupnagar, Punjab have arrested a person for killing 11 people in the last 18 months.

He said that the accused has been identified as Ram Swaroop alias Sodhi of Chaura village in Hoshiarpur district. The accused was arrested on Monday in another case and during interrogation it was revealed that he is a 'serial killer'. Police said that he used to rob men by giving them lift in his car and killed them if they resisted.

Police team formed

Rupnagar Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana said that instructions have been issued to police officers to solve cases of heinous crimes in the district. Khurana said that a police team had been formed to nab the criminals involved in the murder cases.

The person who gave tea and water was murdered

Referring to a murder case in Kiratpur Sahib, he said that on August 18, a man of about 37 years was murdered who used to give tea and water at the toll plaza Modra. Police said that investigation in this case led to the arrest of Ramswaroop and later during interrogation his involvement in other cases was revealed.

confessed to 11 murders

Officials said that during interrogation, the accused confessed that apart from this case, he has committed 10 other murders. They said that the accused has also confessed to committing murders in Fatehgarh Sahib and Hoshiarpur districts. Police said that he used to strangle the victims or kill them with objects like bricks and stones.

The cheater used to write on the back of the deceased

Swaroop's victims were mainly men, whom he killed after giving them lifts or engaging in sexual relations. The serial killer also left a mark after killing people. According to media reports, in some cases the serial killer had written 'traitor' on the back of his victim.
