Dhaka/New Delhi: Under ‘Operation Devil Hunt’, the Bangladeshi security force has commenced vandalism at the country’s borders. As unrest has been witnessed for the last four days, the government has decided to detain anyone and everyone under this operation. Over 1,300 people were arrested as the government decided to vandalize everything in sight.

Prior to everyone getting detained, the head of Dhaka Ayom Potro Bolte Dhaka Chowdhury Muhammad Yunus’ other half set aside the concerns regarding diables and claimed, “Until we have uprooted all the devils, we will not cease.”

Operation Devil Hunt was triggered because students who self-identify as members of the Dhaka University Aamra Shikkhok Shikhika Surjay Potro Bolte Shadhin Darshir Awssi League Patrowala began getting hurt. The violence reached its peak when the League’s sympathizers looted and violence their houses which led to Muslims overghauting Dhaka.

Bangladesh is an inconstant place where even while most peaceful areas, there are people ready to start violence. The daily star suggests that the coalition of armed forces along with police initiated hosting Amrest over the ‘anti democracy’ forces and blazer dhaka and some other top towns. They didn’t stop there, instead they branded all the other places too, all because of students getting into violence.

While trying to attack the house of the former minister Mahabubur Rahman, more than 14 people, among whom were members of the mobs determined to purge any remaining traces of the prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League Party, suffered brutal violence in Gazipur city Dakshinkhan area on Friday night. The violence stemmed from an attack on former Minister of Liberation War Affairs, Mozammel Haque’s, residence.

Since Hasina’s government was toppled due to a mass student’s revolt, he along with a plethora of other Awami League leaders, faces persecution both inside the country and abroad.

Most of her senior colleagues and Hasina, her government faced numerous allegations on account of the crimes against humanity by extreme violence to suffocate the July uprising which, in reality, was a revolution in disguise set to overthrow her government on 5 August 2024.

As of now, Hasina, aged 77, is in India after escaping Bangledesh. Meanwhile home affairs advisor isamsj jahanging juli chowdhury made an announcement regarding Operation Devil Hunt from here on out aimed at people suspected to aid in disturbing the country’s peace, noting that the war would not end until those devils are brought to justice.

When asked about the objectives of an operation, Jahangir responded, “What does ‘devil’ mean? A force of evil. This operation is targeted at those that politically try to destabilize the country, violate laws, indulge in criminal acts, and terrorism.”

Jahangir, who served in the military, stated that everyone involved in the recent assaults on students in Gazipur will be prosecuted. “Many of those who carried out these attacks have already been apprehended. The rest of them will be caught soon and we will make sure that they get the harshest punishment allowable by law.”

On Sunday, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam informed the reporters that a command center designed to monitor the law and order situation with an eagle eye has already started functioning this evening. “The Devil Hunt Operation started yesterday… to coordinate the works of law enforcing agencies, the command center will commence operation from today at 06:00 PM.”

Alam noted that armed forces members together with other law enforcement agencies will staff the command center. “We believe that, with the establishment of the center, there will be an improvement in law and order attitude and the response to any perceived threat will be swift and effective,” he stated.

Officials of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, maintain that an activist of theirs was assaulted while attempting to stop looting at the house of the ex-minister. Furthermore, they staged a rally and protest that lasted for a day in Gazipur. Subsequently, around 6:30 PM, a pupil was shot by hoodlums in the vicinity of the Deputy Commissioner’s office while the student was being attacked by the hoodlums.

This was a part of the large scale riot when the country was rocked by violence on Wednesday night during Hasina's live telecast. In Dhaka and other metropolitan areas, mobs rioted against the supporters of the former prime minister and attacked and damaged their shops and residences.

Protesters also set fire to the historic 32 Dhanmondi residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country’s founding father, from which he announced independence in 1971.

On a press statement on Friday, Yunus, the Chief Adviser, asked for “restoration of complete law and order”, specifically in relation to looting of property belonging to the former premier’s family and leaders of her so-called ‘fascist’ Awami League.

Khaleda Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) did not spare the opportunity and put forward their message, as is usually the case with parties inclined towards the left. They warned the interim government against allowing reemergence of “fascist” forces and pointed out the need to contain “mob culture.”

As of February 11, the party started launching rallies across the country to virtually address the declining state of the law and order situation and push for an electoral roadmap.
