Russia Ukraine war : Tensions between Ukraine and Russia continue to escalate as Ukraine reports one of the largest overnight drone attacks. According to Ukrainian officials, Russia launched 143 drones, out of which:
- 95 drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
- 46 drones were likely neutralized due to electronic warfare countermeasures.
Despite these efforts, at least one person was injured, and a critical infrastructure building in Mykolaiv caught fire. Additionally, residential homes in the Kyiv region were damaged due to the attacks.
Damage in Mykolaiv and Kyiv Regions
The governor of Mykolaiv, Vitaly Kim, stated on Telegram that the fire in the city was quickly contained, though the extent of the infrastructure damage remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Russia continues its territorial advances, now controlling about 20% of Ukraine, with its forces pushing further eastward.
Zelensky: Russia Needs War to Maintain Power
