A Great Start To Your Day

Poha has a lot of carbohydrates which helps in sustaining energy levels for the whole of the morning. Ingredients:

200 grams of Pounded rice (also known as Poha)

1 medium-sized Onion (chopped finely)

1-1 or 2 Green chilies (well chopped)

10 to 12 Curry Leaves

1/4 of a teaspoon of Turmeric Power

1/2 a Teaspoon of Red chili Powder

1/4 of a cup of Roasted Peanuts

1 tablespoon of Lime Juice

2 tablespoons of Cooking Oil

1 table spoon of Mustard Seeds

2 tbsp chopped coriander

Salt to taste

Poha Preparation Instructions

Get a strain and rinse the poha using water, then use the strainer to drain the poha. After that leave the poha for about 10 minutes and it will soften further. Now for the tempering, place a pan onto the stove and heat oil onto while also adding mustard seeds and waiting for them to splutter. Moving on to frying the Veggies, add chopped onions, the green chilies, and curry leaves into the pan. Fry them for a bit until the onions are translucent. Now for the spices, pour turmeric powder and red chili powder with salt into the pan and stir for about a minute.

Combine and Cook instructions

Once all that is done, combine the soft poha into the pan and make sure to combine gently with the spices as well. Take the pan and place a lid over the top making sure to turn the heat down for about 5 minutes. Make sure to stir it occasionally to stop the bottom of the pan from burning. Once the time is done, add the roasted peanuts with the lime juice in and mix. Finish it off by combining chopped coriander and serving the mix while its hot.
