
Bangalore: A very unexpected and alarming incident occurred on the Bangalore Mysore highway where an individual was seen trying to strike a log towards speeding vehicles with the clear intention of getting an accident to happen. It is evident this incident will raise many safety forums on the access controlled express way which has gotten public attention due to the number of accidents that have happened in the past.
A dashcam video captured the a frightening incident, showing how an accident could have been incurred with a sudden swerving motion. This was shared in social media on user Deep Darshan. The driver of a car seems to have swerved after spotting a log on the divider main road which was meant to be set in a motion by a person. The situation was indeed very dangerous.
Darshan uploaded the video in X warning the travellers saying, “Caution for travelers on Mysore - Bangalore Expressway. Attempted car toppling near Kengeri (Jan 20, 6:42 PM). A man held a log and placed it on the closest lane to the divider, trying to cause an accident and rob people off their valuables, see the video below.”

The video depicts the car in front of the camera vehicle swerving abruptly which resulted the driver in the back to hesitate. Approaching the vehicle, the driver was able to spot the man closer towards the divider with the log in a more threatening stance aiming towards a moving car's lane. A lack of attention can result in a serious accident account even leading the car to overturn.
The police tag on the Darshan post in respect was agreed upon. He also urged for immediate action in catching the person. The users on social media reacted to the incident very aggressively.
As one of the users noted, “This is really dangerous and frightening. Putting lives at risk for some valuables in the evening.”
Another reply was, “Unbelievable. Place is just outside city limits and it is still evening. Think about the dangers one might face during night time. Things are getting worse with the highway, as there is very little if not any patrolling, there is poor entry - exit control, and only excess toll fees are charged to pay.”
