In East Nagpur, a psychologist was charged for raping multiple underage girls inside of his clinic, while simultaneously also being a rape counselor, counselor and clinic owner. Despite these allegations coming to light only two months ago, three accusations have already been filed against him at the Hudkeshwar police station.
You may also remember from our earlier report, Times of India reported on this case and described how backward and backward therapy alongside his wife and accomplices promoted “self development” as a marketing strategy to lure more people in. By now at least 18 women have come forth and exposed their abusers while sharing the trauma which existed for nearly a decade. In the meantime his wife alongside accomplices continue to remain underground.
How did psychologist cum counselor Nagpur... abuse the malefactors?
The accused, who claimed to have a gold medal in the subject of his choice ,counselled and persuaded parents to book their children for him for day long sessions for which he assured that their personality and mental would get adequate development.”It is also to be noted that they further made such claims that the session would help the children with their academics “ Report TOI quoting its sources, Adito Kumar This psychologist made money off his patients. He was sure to overcharge for courses, which would cumulate to 9 lakrs annually on several occasions.
A Nagpur counseling clinic accused a therapist of blackmailing and sexually abusing more than 50 girls during the period of 15 years. He would forcibly touch several girls under the girls and had the pretense of alleviating stress through ‘acupressure’. Report TOI cites an insider saying “His first contact with the girls was preceded by a ‘research’ and was focused, as strained belief in studying to be faith, strong. He gradually began feeling them, pouring out alcohol in midst drinking sessions with them and making teenage girls believe sweat free and comforting turn of events….Dramatic!! Yes, he sold teenage girls sex with him for liquor, maximum contacts captured. I say no was stay demonstration which my fully illustrates well the efforts he would've had to employ in order to manipulate few into abandoning their normal insecurities and just be some kind of possession.”He would blackmail his victims by taking her into an intimate relationship. To achieve this, he exploited her sexually and recorded intimate videos along with collecting explicit pictures.Since survivors fear being ostracized, a number of them who are married do not want to report the matter formally to the authorities.
As TOI reports, he had also worked with an expert at the nearby clinic located at Shankar Nagar before starting his own near Zade Layout in East Nagpur. His center became well known and attracted clientele from nearby regions such as Chandrapur.The girls were reportedly injected with a colourless liquid that the accused claimed to be compulsory for therapy, they were also barred from having contact with their parents during the procedure, this technique of isolation made the parents unware of the abuse taking place.The authorities suspect that his actions as a psychologist were premeditated in order to be able to control his victims , this he was able to do under the guise of being a ‘therapist’. Steps are being taken in order to get the details of all his criminal activities.
