He was drenched in blood but he walked in like a lion with only his small child, Taimur. He is a real hero. He walked in only with his son (into the hospital). In films, people do ‘herogiri‘ that is alright. But during an attack like this at home, he has acted like a hero and has come out (of such a thing).” According to reports, Saif was attacked around 3:00 AM at his residence. The accused was in his and Kareena Kapoor’s younger son Jeh Ali Khan’s room. After being alerted about the burglary attempt, Saif rushed to protect the 4-year-old. Reportedly, the burglar stabbed the actor. During the surgery, a 2.5-inch piece of knife blade lodged close to his spine was removed. Doctors said the spinal fluid was repaired. Taimur and his help took Saif to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in a rickshaw. The driver, named Bhajan Singh Rana has been rewarded with Rs 11,000/- for his prompt assistance. The accused has been arrested. As per the cops, he is a Bangladeshi national named Shariful Islam Shehzad, alias Bijoy Das.

The Incident

A burglar invaded Saif's home on January 16 starting at dawn. An intruder sneaked into the bedroom where Saif and Kareena Kapoor's youngest son Jeh Ali Khan slept. Saif immediately went to protect his 4-year-old son when he heard danger but the intruder attacked him by stabbing his body six times with a sharp object.

Saif alerted his household and his son Taimur Ali Khan and their nanny transported him to Lilavati Hospital as he struggled through his injuries. As a compassionate gesture Bhajan Singh Rana used his auto-rickshaw to rush the injured actor to medical care. The auto-rickshaw driver earned ₹11,000 in reward for his fast response.

The Recovery

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital revealed that the injuries were severe, requiring two surgeries: The patient received neurosurgical treatment then plastic surgery during the same operation. Dr. The hospital chief operating officer praised Saif's remaining calm throughout his medical crisis. The patient clutched his son Taimur's hand as he entered with blood soaked clothes yet remained composed. Dr. Uttamani declared that Saif behaved as a heroic person when facing this actual emergency.

The most important step during surgery was cutting out a two-and-a-half-inch knife piece that had gotten stuck next to Saif's spine. Medical teams restored his spinal fluid's function and Saif has started his healing process.

Saif Returns Home

Police escorts and upgraded security greeted Saif when he returned to his Bandra residence five days post attack. Security cameras have been set up throughout Saif's building to protect against more attacks. The kind-hearted actor gave neighbors a friendly wave as he walked into his home with his wrist injury still strapped in his healing process.

The Accused

The police captured Shariful Islam Shehzad, known as Bijoy Das, who serves as the accused criminal. Law enforcement continues collecting information to determine more about this robbery attempt.
