The viral video of IIT Bombay’s graduate now a sadhu explains his claims of being MIA during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
While at the Prayag Juna Akhara, Singh came across several Madi people while turning towards them. The reporters present there started exposing Singh’s competing motives showcasing him ‘going missing’. Transformer and spiritual leader Abhay Singh began appearing in viral videos around that time. He raised his arms to showcase that he left the akhara in search of the saints who asked him to.
Witnesses and several other competitors still support Abhay. IIT Bombay’s Abhay Singh is an aerospace engineering student who documented the complexities of Abhay Singh through pictures instead of formulas.
"The caretakers of Madi Ashram requested me to vacate their premises during the night. Now they dream that i have gained some fame and may leak external information so they abuse me by saying that i went for secret meditation. Such people are nonsense," Singh said in an interview with India Today.
Addressing his remarks concerning his psychological state, Singh stated, "Who are these psychologists who have been granted a license to ascertain my mental state, at least I do? Am I not qualified in this regard?."
Directing his remarks at seer Someshwar Puri of the Juna Akhara for alleging that Singh was Shing's disciple, Sing said, “Who says he is my guru? There is no such relation.” I told him already that there is no such relation. Since I have become popular he has projected himself to be my guru.”
Before his expulsion IIT Baba was fast becoming a household name during the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and had garnered the attention of the devotees and the media.
According to a guide who describes himself as a ‘free bird’ on his personal spiritual journey, he had great potential which he recognised around 40 days before the Kumbh Mela.
