
New Delhi: Speaking to a group of defence accounts probationers, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday commented that these accounts should, “Never, ever, couse any impediment to the disbursement of pensions of ex-servicemen and, rather, always exercise financial integrity in their career.” Addressing the group of Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) probationers here, the vice president asked them to have absolute empathy for the pensioners.
He said, “Never, ever create problem in the disbursement of pensions. All of them are like parents for you,”. “They are, in fact, human beings who have not and will never get tired of serving the nation,” he observed while explaining that a pensioner is not desolate and has a plethora of resources that can be utilized.
“It is your nectar. Financial integrity once compromised, you lose it forever. You can never repair it,” said the Vice-President in jest while emphasizing the fact that any controlled financial loss can never b remedied. Dhankhar extolled the benefits of technology in account management claiming that it should be used to expedite central projects and improve productivity.
