Bhagyashree made her debut in 1989 with Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya's much-acclaimed film Maine Pyar Kiya. In a recent interview, Bhagyashree told that during the shooting, her and Salman's friendship deepened, which became even stronger when Salman came to know about her love story with Himalaya Dasani. Bhagyashree told that at first she thought that Salman might be flirting with her, but later she realized that he was trying to tease her about her boyfriend Himalaya.

that it was a love story in which Salman Khan and Bhagyashree's pairing was liked a lot. However, during the shooting of this film, there was a time when the heat between the two stars increased on the set. Bhagyashree had told during an interview that how she had instructed Salman Khan to stay away to avoid the rumors of affair.

Bhagyashree and Salman Khan may not have worked together for years but their relationship is still good and while talking about some special things related to Salman Khan, Bhagyashree told some interesting anecdotes in an interview given to E-Times. Actually, while talking about Salman Khan, Bhagyashree said, "During the shooting of the song 'Dil Deewana', Salman was the first person who came to know about my relationship with Himalaya. In such a situation, he would often follow me around humming a song in my ears."

I was constantly warning Salman
Talking about Salman Khan, Bhagyashree further said, “I was constantly warning him that people will start making stories about us. But after constantly bothering me, he told me that he knows about Himalaya. Bhagyashree further said that he even suggested me to call Himalaya on the set. During the meeting, both of them met each other very simply.”
