Virat Kohli became the fourth Indian batsman to achieve this feat after Sachin Tendulkar (15,921), Rahul Dravid (13,265) and Sunil Gavaskar (10,122). However, among these, Kohli (197) was the slowest batsman to reach this milestone in terms of innings.
Virat Kohli has not scored any Test half-century in the year 2024 so far. Now he has scored his 31st Test half-century against New Zealand. Virat Kohli is the second-highest Test run-scorer among active players after England's Joe Root (12,716 runs).
