In a candid interview with DD Urdu, Shakti Kapoor revealed that in his early days, he did a commercial that paid him ₹13,000—a significant amount back then. Being passionate about cars, he used the money to buy a second-hand Fiat, which had a unique feature—forward-opening doors.
One day, while driving on Linking Road in Bandra, his car was hit by a Mercedes trying to overtake him. The impact pushed his Fiat to the side, leaving it damaged. The repair costs were beyond his means, so he decided to confront the driver and seek compensation.
A Life-Changing Encounter
As he stepped out to confront the driver, he was stunned—it was none other than Feroz Khan, the legendary actor and filmmaker! His anger instantly vanished. Instead of demanding money, he introduced himself as an aspiring actor and requested a chance in films. Feroz Khan, taken aback, simply replied, "Let’s see... but look what you've done to my car!" and drove off, leaving behind a crowd of onlookers.
Disappointed and struggling financially, Shakti Kapoor later visited writer KK Shukla, who told him, "Your luck is bad." Shukla revealed that he had recommended Shakti for a film role, but the director had already chosen another actor—someone who had recently been in an accident with Feroz Khan!
