New Delhi: The stock market continued to decline for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. In today's trading, Nifty and Sensex have seen a decline of more than 0.5 percent, while on Tuesday both the indices closed with a decline of about 1.5 percent. There are many reasons behind the decline in the market, including US President Donald Trump's threat to increase tariffs on India, meaning that the US is now talking about imposing the same tax on Indian products as India imposes on American products. After this, the outflow of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and the decision of the Fed Reserve meeting are included.
On Wednesday, the Sensex fell 503 points or 0.62% to close at 80,182.20, while the Nifty weakened 137.16 points or 0.56% to close at 24,198.85.
