Sydney Test Day 2 Stumps: The fifth and final match of the five-match Test series between India and Australia is being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. In reply to the Indian team's 185 runs in the first innings, the Australian team was all out for 181 runs in its first innings on the second day, i.e. Saturday. In this way, India got a lead of four runs in the first innings.
By the end of the second day's play, India has scored 141 runs for 6 wickets. India has got a lead of 145 runs in the second innings so far. At the time of stumps, Ravindra Jadeja is unbeaten on eight runs with the help of one four on 39 balls and Washington Sundar is unbeaten on six runs on 17 balls.
For Team India, Rishabh Pant played aggressively and scored the second fastest half-century of 61 runs in 33 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes. Apart from him, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 22 and KL Rahul and Shubman Gill scored 13-13 runs while Virat Kohli was out after scoring six runs.
31-year-old Beau Webster, playing his debut test for Australia, scored the highest 57 runs. Apart from him, Steve Smith scored 33, Sam Kontas scored 23 and Alex Carey scored 21 runs. For India, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj took 3-3 wickets while Jaspreet Bumrah and Nitish Kumar Reddy took 2-2 wickets each.
Australia is leading 2-1 in the five-match series. Team India will be eyeing to win this Test and level the series 2-2.
